Sudurpashchim Province

Sudurpashchim Province (सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेश) is one of Nepal’s seven provinces, formed in 2015. It covers about 20,000 km² (13.6% of Nepal’s area). The province borders Tibet (China) to the north, Karnali and Lumbini to the east, and India’s Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh to the west and south. Godawari is the official capital, while Dhangadhi serves as the temporary capital. Major cities include Dhangadhi, Bhimdutta (Mahendranagar), and Tikapur.
