Madhesh Pradesh

Madhesh Province (मधेश प्रदेश) is the smallest province of Nepal by area (9,661 km²) but the most densely populated, with over 6.1 million people (2021 census). It lies in the Terai region and borders Koshi and Bagmati provinces to the north and India’s Bihar state to the south and west. The province has eight districts, from Parsa in the west to Saptari in the east, and is known for its rich religious and cultural tourism.
