Koshi Province

Koshi Province (कोशी प्रदेश) is one of Nepal’s seven provinces, formed in 2015. Its capital is Biratnagar, and it includes major towns like Dharan, Damak, Itahari, and Birtamod. The province is home to Mount Everest, Kangchenjunga, Ama Dablam, and the Koshi River. It borders Tibet (China) in the north and India in the east and south. According to the 2021 census, about 5 million people live here.
