Gandaki Province

Gandaki Province (गण्डकी प्रदेश) is one of Nepal’s seven provinces, formed in 2015. Its capital is Pokhara. The province covers 21,504 km² (about 14.6% of Nepal’s area) and has a population of about 2.48 million. It borders Tibet (China) in the north, Bagmati Province in the east, Karnali in the west, and Lumbini and India’s Bihar to the south. The name “Gandaki Province” was officially adopted in April 2023, replacing “Province No. 4.”
